Calling all artists! This is a great product from Artist Papers!

So what's this ad for Artist Materials doing here? Well we are currently constructing an affiliate marketing and user loyalty points sytem for one of our client's websites Artist Papers. The small ad below is an example of a link that an affiliate would be able to embed into their own website, blog, email or on social networking sites. The link includes their affiliate id so that any purchases made as a result of a customer clicking on the link generate commision for the affiliate.

The loyalty points system we are building alongside this recognises users contribution to the site, be it by posting images, articles, comments etc, or even buying products! Loyalty points may be traded for a discount coupon in the shop. So site visitors are encouraged to keep the site a lively and informative place to visit and are rewarded for their trouble. Early days at the time of writing but an exciting project to be involved in.

estm has been assisting Maverick Theatre Company producer Nick Hennegan with a fundraising scheme to revive his "Romantica" radio show for Valentines day. The show, with music and dedications for those romantically inclined, attracted millions of listeners to Birmingham's BRMB in the 1980's from muli million pound studios in Aston. But now in the 21st century the show's revival will be broadcast via the internet, from Nick's laptop, on a shoe string!

estm's Ian Edwards says ".. it's been great fun helping Nick set this up, and it's no less a challenge given that he is in London and I am in Shropshire, but hearing his first test transmission took me back to the excitment of those early days."

The first "Romantica" for more than 20 years will be broadcast...

Saturday 12th/Sunday 13th February 2011: 11pm to 3am and repeated

Monday 14th February: 8pm - Midnight.

Ian Edwards, managing director of Shropshire based estm, is pleased to be working with AccreditUK to assist in the development of the final three segments to the Accredit UK certification for ICT companies. Ian says "the Accredit UK standard is divided into six segments representing different areas of ICT services. Within those segments are a number of specialisms. This means purchasers of ICT products and services can easily find companies with the specialist skills they require who have demonstrated their capabilities to independent assessors". Ian will be working with 8 candidate companies who are piloting and contributing to the devlopment of the new segments.

The new segments are due for launch in April 2010. IT companies interested in developing their bsuiness through the AccreditUK standard are invited to contact Ian at estm for an informal chat about the benefits of the standard and what certification entails.
